Et event-spil, der giver en bred introduktion til globale handelsspørgsmål og til begreber som fair trade og etisk handel.
Formål
Tough Road har til formål at motivere deltagerne til at forstå stadig mere af de komplekse og samvirkende forhold, som gør det svært for de fattige i udviklingslandene at overvinde fattigdommen, men også at synliggøre perspektivet for forandring, der trods alt findes.

Beskrivelse ToughRoad kaster deltagerne ind i den globale verdens handel med kaffe. De må spille for deres liv, og det kræver kløgt, overblik og forhandlingsevner. Undervejs i spillet – som er inspireret af rolle- og computer – havner de 100 spillere i morsomme og modbydelige dilemmaer. Hver eneste deltager spiller en vigtig rolle for at få kaffen fra producent til forbruger. En bliver bonde og må tænke langsigtet for at sikre sin families fremtidige eksistens. En anden driver et verdensomspændende selskab, og en tredje prøver at spekulere i råvarer på spillets børs. Imens slås fire cafeer om at sælge deres nybryggede kaffe og andre forfriskninger til spillerne og andre trængende. For at overleve i spillet må man danne alliancer og tænke langsigtet, men man skal også købe og sælge til den bedst mulige pris. Og så skal man være forberedt på lidt af hvert: verdensbegivenheder og private katastrofer kan hurtigt ændre situationen. ToughRoad bringer de globale udviklings- og fattigdomsproblemer tæt på. Samtidig giver det en praktisk demonstration af, hvordan det globale handelssystem fungerer på godt og ondt. Spillerne får også en grundig uindføring i Fairtrade og baggrunden for det. |
Forberedelse
Med spillet følger bl. a. et hæfte til deltagerne og den prisbelønnede dokumentarfilm Black Gold om etiopiske kaffebønders kamp for at få en pris for deres kaffe, som de kan leve af.

At opening the participants´ minds for one foreign culture and adds to make them good travellers.

Description We spend the day in the British capital. First we take a tourist double decker bus and look to Westminster Abbey to view the famous & infamous, who are buried there. Buckingham Palace & Kensington Palace to meet the royals, both alive & dead. Maddame Tussouds to have our pictures taken with the worlds rich & beautiful, then onto London Dungeon to be frightened to death by the horrors of London. Time to push on as there is so much to see. A short history about the crown jewels at London Tower. Next stop at the new Olympic Stadium and some of the famous football clubs. We finish our hectic day at the theatre, only we are the actors in a comedy play about a group of Danes on their way to London with a High Jacker on board. Roles for all participants, playing THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE BEAUTIFUL...!! |
Preparation
Pupils/students to partake in all activities should prepare some questions on London or British culture. The teachers are welcome to bring digital camera.
History
This course is created by the famous british actor & director, Sabo, who nowadays only visits Denmark in September & October this year (2012).

Description
We spend the day in the British capital . At the start of the day we take a tourist double decker bus & look at the sights e.g.: Westminster Abby to view the famous & infamous who are buried there. Buckingham palace & Kensington Palace to meet the royals , both alive & dead. We see the famous Never land that inspired both Princess Dianna & Jacko. Madam Tussauds to have our pictures taken with the worlds rich & beautiful, then onto the London Dungeon to be frightened almost to death by the horrors of ol' London.
We now need some refreshments at one of the wonderful olde worlde PUBS, to be found on almost every street corner ,to have a none alcoholic drink for the under 18s'. Time to push on as there is so much to see. A short history lesson at the thousand year old Tower of London making sure the crown jewels are still there. Near by is Whitechapel the setting of the worlds most famous serial killings that even the Baker Street Detective could not solve & find the Ripper.
Enough sight seeing , Its time for us shopaholics to use our credit cards at the many shopping streets with the worlds greatest stores shops & street Markets , Camden, Oxford Street , Regent Street to name just a few Of the many. We also pretend to be rich & shop on Bond Street were we spy the Queen of Denmark leaving her London Hotel, perhaps joining her for English Afternoon Tea.
For the more sporty type we visit Wembley , Wimbledon, or one of the football clubs to be found all over the cit,y not forgetting the sight of the 2012 Olympic Games
